Calling ALL DOG LOVERS!

I found a museum for you – The American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog, here in New York City! I was on the search for unique things to do while I waited for my train at Grand Central Station and noticed the AKC Museum of Dog and immediately was excited to see what it was about. I mean you really can’t go wrong about visiting a museum about dogs!

Following the paw prints on the floor throughout the museum, you can expect to see 2.5 floors of dog portraits, a library filled with books on everything dog, an interactive digital table to learn more about your favorite dog breeds, play catch with a digital dog,  and my favorite, the opportunity to have your portrait taken and see which dog you most look like! I was stoked to see that I got my favorite dog breed, the English Bulldog!

If you have an extra hour to spend while in NYC before you take the train at Grand Central home or are looking for unique things to do in New York City, I highly recommend walking a block away and checking out this museum and its gift shop!

Lastly, if you have a dog, be sure to check out their Furry Friday occurring twice a month where you can bring your pup to explore the museum after hours to explore with you! Click here to see when their dog-friendly events occur: calendar
